West Allis, West Milwaukee School District, West Allis

Selzer-Ornst Company is pleased to announce it has completed the remodeling project for WAWI Development LLC, creating classroom, office, meeting, and open space in two existing side-by-side buildings in West Allis, Wisconsin.  The project included demolishing four floors of existing office space, installing operable partitions, fire doors, new finishes, and flooring to convert the space. An extraordinary effort was put into restoring the original woodwork in this space.  The ceiling and beams were sandblasted and finished as original and floors previously carpeted were stripped and refinished to the original hardwood.

Blood Research Institute, Wauwatosa

The medical laboratory space at the Blood Research Institute, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin was completed in November of 2011. This project included specialty laboratory equipment and unique temperature-controlled environments, a solar panel system, and green building construction. 

We Energies Service Center, Menomonee Falls

Selzer-Ornst Co. provided Construction Management services on behalf of Milwaukee-based Cobalt Partners, the project developer for We Energies, to construct the new 43,000 square foot state-of-the-art service center. The new center replaces an existing 45-year old service center in the Village of Menomonee Falls to make way for a new 75-acre development being undertaken by Cobalt Partners and the Village along Highway 41/45 between Pilgrim Road and Water Street. The new energy-efficient Menomonee Falls Service Center will be LEED certified. 

Miller-Coors Employee Meeting Center, Milwaukee

Situated on the first floor of Miller Brewing Company's Headquarters, this interior space was transformed into an extraordinary, modern interpretation of a 19th century pub. The innovative interior design displays refined detailing and utilizes high quality materials. A key element of the program was connecting the meeting space to an existing terrace, which allows expansive views of the Miller Campus.

Audi North Shore, Brown Deer

Construction is currently underway on this 25,000 square foot building for the Audi North Shore Auto Dealership located in the village of Brown Deer. The building will feature a showroom and service area and is scheduled for completion in December of 2005. Christopher Kidd & Associates is the architect for the project.

The Private Bank, Milwaukee

The Private BanCorp., headquartered in Chicago, recently expanded with a branch bank in the historic 743 North Water Street building. The ornate bank finishes feature marble floors, barrel vault ceilings, alabaster pendant light fixtures, glass office walls and cherry cabinetry. In addition, many other amenities were incorporated into the space and include triple step cornice mouldings, a private elevator and a magnificent vault.

Summit Place - Blue Cross Blue Shield, West Allis

Conveniently located just south of I-94 at 70th Street, Summit Place offers employees great flexibility for commuting and an opportunity to witness the amazing transformation of this commercial corridor. The newest member to this complex is Blue Cross Blue Shield who plan to relocate 750 employees to Summit Place in the Spring of 2006. The company will occupy approximately 150,000 square feet.

Summit Place Parking Structure, West Allis

This 450 vehicle concrete cast in place and precast parking structure included a deep foundation system to compensate for poor soils encountered in the area. Surface parking on three sides of the structure added an additional 200 car surface parking spaces and a 250 foot long skywalk connects the parking structure to the Summit Place office building spanning over West Washington Street at 23 feet above the roadway. Renner Architects designed a well thought out and aesthetically pleasing structure that complements the existing office facility. In order to fast-track the construction of this structure the foundations were placed simultaneously as the precast structure and wall panels were being cast off-site.

Linden Court

Selzer-Ornst Co. has completed construction on the 13,000 square foot wood frame Community Based Residential Facility for Linden Court, which is comprised of 24 units. Building features include 2 serving kitchens and large courtyard that will include gazebos, trellises and brick pavers. The communication and emergency power systems are connected to the existing building via an underground trench.

The Ambassador Hotel, Milwaukee

in 1927, this Milwaukee Landmark has undergone a magnificent transformation. The focus behind the restoration was to recapture the Ambassador's 1920's art deco spirit while modernizing the facility into a high-class 21st century hotel. Owner Rick Wiegand's passion to refurbish this architectural gem has resulted in an unearthing of exquisite marble floors, raised ceilings with ornamental trim and terra cotta sculpturing around the entrance. Torke Wirth Pujara was the Project Architect.
