Renovation of 16 resident rooms on 3 floors. Work included complete demolition of all existing kitchens, baths and living areas and the installation of new kitchen millwork with stone tops. The project also included new bathrooms with ADA accessible showers, as well as all new finishes throughout featuring new doors, closets and flooring. Work was completed in phases to minimize the disturbance to the tenants and allow the home to relocated residents to other unit


This new 13,000 square foot wood frame Community Based Residential Facility “CBRF” is comprised of 24 units. Building features include two serving kitchens and large courtyard which includes gazebos, trellises and brick pavers. The communication and emergency power systems are connected to the existing building via an underground trench. The exterior façade includes fieldstone and aluminum siding.

The Historic Manitowoc Place Apartments development was a $5.2 million historic rehabilitation of a vacant and neglected 8-story building (the former Evergreen Inn) located in Downtown Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The work provided a combination of one and two bedroom apartment units for a total of 33 apartments. The two first floor commercial storefronts were also renovated.

Remodel of the dining room, sitting area, library, common corridors, main entrance, and restrooms on the first floor of Harwood Place Retirement Community. The project scope included remodeling the main dining room using architectural elements such as columns, arches, custom millwork, and custom murals to create an open-feeling space. Restrooms were upgraded with new plumbing and high level finishes. Additionally, electrical, HVAC, and sprinkler systems were also upgraded in this area.

This senior housing complex is located on the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church campus. The 29,500 sq ft residential living complex was designed for safety and comfort in a spacious and pleasant setting. The facility enhances the quality of life for the Greek community members and their families. The facility is within walking distance of the church.

Selzer-Ornst Construction Company completed renovations to the Congregational Home in Brookfield, Wisconsin, which included a new Beauty Salon, new Physical Therapy Room, new Administrative area, a new main entrance, and updates to several main corridors. Congregational Home is a caring Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) for the elderly offering housing, health care and quality of life services since 1974.

This historical downtown building renovation included retrofitting the existing building, adding walkout balconies to each unit, new windows for the entire building, new concrete mezzanine and completely new mechanicals, as well as a new parking structure. The uniqueness of the building was retained by the reuse of many existing materials such as marble panels and terrazzo flooring.
